  1. Probably... if you are pretending to be that person it's identity theft. Why would you want someone else's credit report???
  2. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY GET IT? DID YOU FIND IT, PURPOSELY ORDER IT, STEAL IT? AND WHY? FROM THE QUESTION THAT YOU ARE ASKING IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH YOUR INTENTIONS ARE ILL. IN THAT LIGHT, MAYBE YOU SHOULD BE CHARGED!
  3. no but they could charge you wiht obtaining goods by deception, or fraud.
  4. To legally obtain someone else's credit report, they will have to agree, preferably in writing (like for a loan or rental application). Otherwise, they may not charge you with ID theft, but they can press some sort of charges.
  5. They can't charge you with identity theft unless you have assumed that person's identity. You did use someone's social security number to obtain a credit report. That is fraud.
