ID Theft

if i file a police report for id theft and someone is arrested will i be notified of the court date??

  1. You should be notified. Even if you won't have to testify, you should recieve notice of the court date, and sentence if the person is convicted.
  2. This is likely to depend where you are. You'll certainly be notified if you're needed to testify. Otherwise, depending on a number of things, you may never know if someone has been arrested or tried for the offense unless you ask. But really - it's going to depend on the jurisidiction you're in, and how well they stay in contact with victims.
