Identity Fraud Alert, lost ss card, need advice?
Someone may have stolen my ss card recently, or I possibly could have misplaced it. What actions can I take if the card was stolen to prevent ID theft, and if I put out a initial fraud alert (90 days), how does that affect me? Or after that if I put out an extended fraud alert ( 7 years), how does that affect me? I am very concerned because I believe it was taken by a shady person (who I know nothing about) so any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
