i lost my national insurance number and my bank statement?

should i worry about identity thelt?im very worried if it fell into the wrong hand?

1. you should certainly report the loss to the police, they will at least have a record of the loss which may help if identity fraud is detected in the future
2. I dont think the police would be interested. You should notify your bank so they can be alerted to fraud on yur account. Not a lot someone can do with your NI number to harm you. If someone gets a job using your NI number, its you who gets credited with the NI contributions, not them.
