How do I get a certified copy of my identity documents without paying through the nose?
Recent UK Anti-Money Laundering legislation means that, in order to transfer an insurance policy I jointly own into my sole name, I need to provide proof of ID. The policy provider will not accept originals, only a certified copy, however I am being quoted up to 80 GBP by a qualified notary public for basically copying a driver's licence and stamping it. How can I get this done without the high fees?
