I recieved an alert on my credit monitoring that says "new employer" HOWEVER under employer name it state N/A?

What does this mean. I have been unemployed for 2 months? Is it an employer running my credit report?

I dough that your old company is reporting you as not working for them anymore. Maybe is a new job you applied for? some companies check credit report in order to hire the best candidate. Also, may be unemployment? Or you applyed for new credit and change your employers name.
I'd say this is a prime example of just how worthless credit monitoring is. An employer name has absolutely no affect on your credit, even if a change had been reported. I suggest you save yourself some money and cancel that monitoring service. You can get a free annual credit report from each of the three credit bureaus thru AnnualCreditReport.com. Space out one credit bureau every 4 months and that's all the monitoring you really need.
