LifeLock Identity Theft Protection worth the money?

I got a flier in the mail from a company called LIfeLock, it looks like a good idea but has anyone ever used it? Is it worth what you pay for it? Or are there better alternatives?

  2. NO way... save your money. All they do is file a fraud alert - which you can do for FREE anyway. They only cover 20% of identity theft, which are items reported to your credit report. They dont help you get it fixed. Not to mention they have about 3 lawsuits against them right now! Check with your credit union or bank - they might offer a plan. Usually at a discount price as well.
  3. They only offer you things you can do for free. They stop your junk mail, telemarketing calls, and put a fraud alert on your credit report. You can do all this for free. I have identity theft protection with SOLUS. They actually monitor my credit. I have unlimited access to my credit report and credit score. They send me an email alert anytime anything changes on it. If you or anyone in your family become a victim of identity theft - they do all the restoration work for you and update you weekly until everyhting is fixed. They reimburse for time off work and provide you with legal. The website is http://www.solusid.com. They cover your whole family for one low price.
