ID Theft

Solution to ID Theft?

Do you think a biometric scanning flash drive would be a good way to help prevent ID Theft?

  1. Probably not.
  2. yes i do;D
  3. The best solution would probably be to not store anything pertaining to your identity on a flash drive... :-)
  4. It helps, but is not a solution to ID theft. The best thing is to insure against it, or have a process in place through a larger company to regain your ID. If someone wants your ID, they will get it. You can make it harder with various methods, but there are so many places your ID would be available, that all you can do is be vigilant with your Credit record, and watch transaction on all accounts. Its good to try and think ahead and beat the rotters, but sometimes its just damage control.
  5. dont have a clue mate sorry, thanks for the 2 points anyway
  6. i think it is a great idea because it woud be harder for people to get to your information, you would need a fingerprint to open it, and it coud save millions of people from spending hundreds of hours and money getting their identity back.
  7. Nope, just look at the finger print scanners a plastic bag filled with water and OOPS! someone just got in. You best bet is to refuse to give any information you don't think is needed to companys. Some places I have managed to get away with not giving really personal details to... Checking (Banks) Electric/Gas companys and Phone Companys.
