I have had unauthorized debits coming out of my account from id theft protection. $30 every month. Why?
This was initially a payday advance request, but when I typed in my account info, I never received any info, but began getting an ACH debit of $30 monthly takien out of my account. When I called ID theft protection, they sent me an e-mail confirming I would not be billed again. I was billed again this month! I tried to find a phone number for this business and go back on their, website, but ironically the website doesn't exist and there is no phone number. Help!

- u got owned
- call your bank and tell them you want a new card that will save you incase you doubt about the month coming up.
- call your bank asap
- Call your bank - the fraud team will deal with it!!
- Was it a legitimate company? If not, then you probably got scammed. Get a new bank account and close that one.
- Anytime you agree to auto debits out of your bank account, you are taking a risk that the company will try to continue to withdraw the money. Sometimes, people agree to a one month free trial or a one month charge to try out the service but dont read the fine print which often says "the first month is free but if you dont cancel, we will begin withdrawing 30 dollars per month until you cancel". I would NEVER agree to an autodebit unless it is a company that you really trust--electric companies, cable companies, etc. Companies that are reputable and that you have a monthly bill with anyway. Good luck.
- Call your credit card or bank account immediately, and contest any and all unauthorized charges. They will give you instructions. You will have to send a written letter or email to the company to stop the charges and reimburse you for the unauthorized ones. Your account managers will give the other company 30 days, and then they will do the reverse (if the other company does not). You'll be fine, it will just take some time, and some effort. ^j^
- First, I would CANCEL that debit card if that is what it is coming from. You need to talk with your bank and dispute the charges. If you applied for a payday loan online, I hope you read every little inch of the fine print, because this is notorious for online payday loans. Also, it's very sketchy getting advance payday loans online due to so many scam artists out there, that in many states even the reputable payday loan companies cannot offer online advances, as it is against state law. It sounds almost as if you gave your name and info to a fly by night scam website. If you can cancel that account, as you don't know if they sold your info to others, and most likely will continue to bill your account. Good luck, and if find yourself in the position of needing a payday advance, you are better off going to a physical well known chain where you live, instead of doing it online.
