Hi, I just rec'd a letter from the company that I used to work for saying that someone had broke into their company system and stole all the employees personal info such as name, address and SSN. The company had filed a police report and sugguest that we place a fraud alert on our credit files. I wonder if the employees can take legal action aganst the company at this point?

- Not at this point, you should talk to the police or your lawyer but dont take any action now as the situation is just unfolding Your lawyer should be contacted and s/he will determine the best time to take action. It may not be until all details are clear what happned.
