What steps have you taken to protect yourself from fraud/id theft?
Here are a few ways to identify potential scams: * Overseas or out-of-town buyer * Offer involves a cashier's check, money order, or wire transfer * Offer involves an escrow service (BidPay, Squaretrade, etc.) * Offer involves buyer's own personal shipping service or personal FedEx account How to protect yourself: * Deal with local buyers only. * Never accept a check for more than the purchase price. * Never agree to refund overpayment via wire transfer or any other means * Never give out personal information such as Social Security or checking account numbers
