  1. Yeah, I've purchased something similar. Use a cc, that way if questionable charges come up you can always get them reversed.
  2. transunion is one of the three major credit corporations they are one of the companies that take into account all of your credit history and produce a score that banks and other companies will look at to see how credit worthy you are, i have had nothing but problems with transunion and i dont like them but many banks still look at them as reliable
  3. Credit monitoring is a monthly service which is supposed to alert you to changes in your credit, possible misuse of your credit. Do not spend the money. It is pure profit for the credit reporting agencies. The more info you put out into more places, the greater your risk of credit fraud and identity theft. There is no proof, not even the slightest indication, that this does you any good whatsoever. It is expensive, and if you have trouble with your budget as it is, why on earth would you spend another $10 or $20 a month for nothing?
  4. Unless your personal information has been compromised, you do not need credit monitoring. Instead of wasting money on credit monitoring, put it toward paying off your debts. You are entitled to a free credit report from each of the three credit bureaus each year (AnnualCreditReport.com). Space them out one bureau ever 4 months and that should be more than enough to catch problems.
