How Can I Find Out If I Owe Any Money To These Following..?

Last year...I believe I called some people who were responsible at working on "identity theft protection plans" for people who are worried about getting their identity stolen. I applied to it and paid the admission for the first month. I am not so sure if I have cancelled the plan a week later or not =-/ (I was on a busy schedule) I don't even recall what their companys name was and I don't have their phone number. I only assume that I am no longer a member and don't owe any money due to the fact that I am not receiving any payments or bills. How can I find out? Any advice/suggestions? I also applied to some life insurance plan, but I am still unsure whether or not if I cancelled it. How can I find out if I am still applied into these plans without knowing any number or company name. I just don't want to be in debt 10 years later, knowing that I have been applied to all these plans without any payment/bill. I haven't received any bill/payment in the mail nor any phone calls.

  1. did you check your credit report, if you were still a member and did not pay, im sure they would've reported it to either three of the credit bureaus, plus if you paid by credit card, go to your bank and see if they can help you identify the companies.
  2. usually if you take out a payment protection plan it will be charged on your monthly credit statement, and usually there is a customer services number that you can ring and ask if you want it cancelled they will do it, also the same applies to the insurance plan, if you took it out you will have your policy, in case you have to make a claim, so look that out, if you don't have one i would take it you don't have the insurance, good luck
  3. im sure if its not on your credit report and your not receiving bills its cancelled. be sure from now on to print out a physical copy of anything you order online for future reference!
  4. You need to improve your personal finance management. You apply for things, keep no record of it and then "don't recall" what you did? That is just asking for trouble.
