What is necessary to refill a prescription?
I am wondering if it is possible for my son to get a refill of any of my prescription medicines. What does he need to bring to the pharmacy to get a refill? I.e. the bottle, a new prescription, picture identity, proof of insurance. . .? I'm sorry, I mean to ask if my son would be able to refill my prescription without my permission, and steal all of my pills, which are vicodin, which I believe is controlled. So, could he pull it off?

- Technically, on most of today's computer programs, we just need your name to find the prescription. It'll be easier if you have your prescription number. All I ask is for your address when you pick it up. If there's any questions, I'll call the person whose name is on the prescription. Unless it is a controlled, it'll be no big deal. This happens every day.
- probably going to depend upon how well you are known at the store. If the meds are controlled, How old your son is, if you have made contact to store and let them know he will be making pickup. In our state we have to sign when we get our meds. So whoever might pick up for us would have to sign for them.
