Brittish Identity card.. Help!!?

Hello there, I'm from Italy and i live in London less two months. I will open a bank account on monday and I have an appoinmente to make my national insurance number in febbruary. Non I would make a Brittish identity card.. it's possible? Were I will go to make it? Have you got a website were I can found more informations about Brittish I.D.? Thanks!! So I don't need an I.D.? It's true?

1. You cant make one,that would be illegal. Apply for one.Citizencard.com will let you apply online.

There is no such thing as a "British identity card"....... government plans to introduce one have been talked about for several years, but so far there isn't one, and there is never likely to be one. The "citizencard" mentioned in the first answer is nothing more than a proof of age scheme to make sure you can get into nightcubs etc, if you are lucky enough to look younger than your actual age. It is nothing to do with the government and shows only the information your passport shows.
3. There is no such thing as a British identity card. Your Italian passport or identity documents are all you need as Italy is in the EU. You might have trouble opening a bank account as the bank may need references and proof of earnings and your UK address.

5. No such thing. Italy is in the EU, so proof of ID there is proof of ID here.
6. There are talks about this ID card in the UK, but it is not out yet. They try to introduce it to foreigners first, but as you are a EU citizen and living here, you cant be treated any worse than locals, so I think people from other EU countries would not get this card. All you need to open an bank account usually is: -your Passport -prove of address (utility bill: electricity bill, land line phone bill, or similar, bring as much as you have, to make sure) ---- The bank 'HSBC' has something called a passport account, for this one you need only your passport, there might be monthly charges, but its convenient if you do not have a utility bill
7. There is currently no such thing as a British Identity Card.

Have you not got rent/mortgage statement, offer of job (proof of income) phone bill, electric bill, Mobile phone bill ?, these all have your name and address on and can be used as forms of ID to open a bank account. What about your passport, your driving licence from Italy all have photo and name etc on them. All forms of ID
