Receiving unwanted calls from +442088092544. Appears to be an identity theft scam. Who can I report this to?
I have received several calls in the past and asked to be removed from their calling list but they hang up on you. Today, I received 2 calls within 10 minutes of each other. I followed the directions after a recording asks to press the number 1 if you want to hear how to lower your credit card interest rate. The person that answered speaks American English and wanted my credit card info and other personal info. She also hung up on me when I asked to have my name removed. I called the number that appeared on the caller ID and it is in the United Kingdom. The man that answered did not have a British accent but sounded like an Arab speaking person. He yelled at me to quit calling his number. Apparently, the people that are calling are somehow able to get someone else's number to appear. Be careful to not give them info as I truly believe this is not a legitimate business. Just want to know if there is someone or some agency I can report this to so they can investigate.

- report it to the phone co.
- Report it to your State Attorney General's Office. Most State AGs Offices have internet sites that explain how to contact them.
- try to the state office.. or EVEN FBI . we had probems like that online.... if u have the problems online the go to IC3.GOV GOOD LUCK!!!!!
- Report this to your local police department. There probably is not much that they will be able to do since their resources are limited, but you should report this anyway. They can subpoena your phone records to see if they can get the number from which the phony calls were placed. you should also report this to the Attorney General's Office for your state. The Attorney General's office have more experience and resources to investigate these types of crimes.
- Contact your state police or highway patrol if there is no state police.
- ya its called spoofing.
