Does using you overdraft protection affect your credit score?

If your account goes negative and it is covered by overdraft protection, does that put a mark on your credit?

1. normally it does not, your bank does not evern report it though they charge you a hefty amount
2. no. because this will not be reported as bad credit because the plan has fixed the problem. why else would you pay for it?
