  1. No. Go here: https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp
  2. No you do not. You can get a credit report on your own- the 1st one is usually free, and you can ask for one once a year to check your credit report. You do not have to go thru a monitoring service. This is another ploy to get your money!
  3. You can get credit reports directly from one of the credit reporting bureaus for a small fee: http://www.experian.com http://www.equifax.com http://www.transunion.com Also, if you get denied for an application for credit, you can get a free credit report.
  4. ABSOLUTELY NOT. You may obtain one yearly copy of your credit report from each of the three credit reporting bureaus for FREE. also, if you are denied credit due to items in your credit report/credit history, you should be entitled to a free copy of the report(s) used in determining your denial. go to www.annualcreditreport.com for your free copy. be sure to obtain a report from all 3 bureaus. also, you can go to www.equifax.com, www.experian.com, www.transunion.com to find out more info. i hope this helps! have a great independence day!
