Id Theft...?

Hi all...Quick Q here...Awhile ago my ID was hacked and password stolen and I couldnt retrieve it. Now this was a long time ago. I just sent that account an email hoping the person got bored with it and would return it to me but it bounced back saying it was disabled/discontinued. However I went to member directory and the password is still there. Does this mean the account has timed out since the profile is still up?

whoever it is - call or email the provider or service and tell them to cancel the account IMMEDIATELY - should have done that as SOON as it happened - waiting is not good.

If email isn't used for a long period it gets disabled by yahoo, the account remains open...just no email. If you have all of the original sign up information...name zip..secret question etc... you can try this form to regain your ID. http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/security/cgi_feedback
