is there a new possible law in state Mass or Main that citizens will need ID Theft Protection? I heard they are trying to pass a mandate to help protect citizens from Identity Theft. Ie citizens will be required to carry ID theft protection or insurance???? Im not looking on info abut ID Theft protection, I sell the protection, Im just looking for info on a possible new mandate, that Massachusets may be passing to make mandatory for its citizens.

so what do you think of the life lock id theft protection program? i just saw something on yahoo. where the life lock guy is being sued. people were stealing his idenity and the customers using the program are victims as well. good for him if he got ripped off. it is his own fault. the customers should not have been victims. i new that the program was not good. if it sounds to good to be true then it must be a lie.

I have had unauthorized debits coming out of my account from id theft protection. $30 every month. Why? This was initially a payday advance request, but when I typed in my account info, I never received any info, but began getting an ACH debit of $30 monthly takien out of my account. When I called ID theft protection, they sent me an e-mail confirming I would not be billed again. I was billed again this month! I tried to find a phone number for this business and go back on their, website, but ironically the website doesn't exist and there is no phone number. Help!

Pre-emptive ID Theft protection? I left a usb flash drive at a public computer and it was swiped. It has sensitive information on it including documents with my name, address, social security number and name of my employer. Also one of my previous addresses. Given the nature of the place, where left items are usually turned in at a nearby counter, I know I can't rely on the goodwill of whoever took it. I don't think my credit is good enough for anyone to get a credit card under my name, though I still intend to be wary of that. What pre-emptive measures can I take to prevent misuse of the information on the drive, particularly ones that would could cause me financial or legal damage? It's copies of pay stubs I'm talking about here, which had to be transported and printed. My printer doesn't work so I had no choice. My employer shouldn't be printing my ssn but I can't really change the way they do things.

Why do people get mad when I ask for an ID for their debit cards? I work at a fast food restaurant, and we accept debit and credit cards. Whenever I ask for ID and someone is paying with a debit card, they get mad and say "Well,it's a debit card,why do I need ID?" I guess it's because they think they need to type in their pin,but that's not always the case. Every card swipes as credit on our machine,even if it's a debit. It's because you have to enter that it's debit manually, and we never do that. Therefore, there's no need to put in the pin. So, if that same person's card got stolen, and we didn't ask for ID, a thief could use their debit card. But the customers still get mad. But it's for their own protection and to prevent identity theft.

Because most of unlawful residents aren’t entitled to be given a working permits. Does unlawful Australians have the right to seek medical aid for case of illness or sickness, well in order to do so your need to pay significant amount of dollars to use the facility. How do I change my name and SSN to save my life? Here's my situation. My ex has threatened to kill me. I've been with him for 4 years and I know he's a man of his word and will stop at nothing to do this. He's abused me for years and said if I ever turned him in he would kill me or have me killed. He was a police officer but now is on leave because of the allegations against him. He was arrested and there's a protection order in place but I know that will do nothing to stop him. The, I will ask my question. OK? Here goes: Lately it has gotten to where almost everytime I enter certain Yahoo chat rooms ( Wisconsin Room 1, 2, and 5, there are either a group of people or there is a person that just feels compelled to run these programs called booter programs, and they boot me out of the room. And I will get back in the room, and right away they do it again. For several different days they seem to do it all day and half the night, un til I either just give up and am extremely frustrated, or they just end up leaving. And many times during this, they also either hack into my computer some way, or just into my Yahoo Messenger, but in either case, they end up locking my Yahoo Messenger ID. They do this by changing my password some way. Then when I try to sign back in, it says I have entered the wrong password. So, I will try to change my password so I can get in, and somehow they managed to even change my secret question. Secret question is a certian question and answer that is picked by you and Only you, that once you answer it correctly, it is supposed to let you change your password so you can get back in that way. I wasnt to sue American Express for the damage they did to my credit. What kind of lawyer do I contact? I was a victim of ID theft over a year ago and American Express issued on 1 day, 2 different accounts with 4 cards each under my SSN to strangers, over the phone without checking any form of ID or calling me (like other companies did). My FICO dropped over 200 points! Everytime I'm rebuilding my score they drop my limit again (they review account limits every 6 months), which consequently drops my score again. This has happenned 3 times, and now they say that since my balance is too close to the limit and my FICO score not high enough they can't reinstate my initial credit limit. (my initial limit was $10K and my balance never exceeded $2500. I've never been delinquent on my payments. They dropped my limit to exactly how much i owed, making me have a high balance) I had a lawyer write them a letter demanding them to fix what they've created since they say they offer 100% protection and recover for all IDtheft victims. They said no to reinstating my limit and I want to sue I dont know which kind of lawyer to contact. Any advice on this? Do you think this willl be a waste of time?

A Cashier Gave Out My Credit Card Number -- Who Do I Report Her To? Two women approached me in a parking lot and gloated that a cashier had given them my credit card number. When I confronted the cashier she didn't deny it, knew who the women were without me telling her, and laughed and made smart alecky remarks. Another cashier came over and joined in. Four customer service reps, an "assets protection" officer and the assistant manager(the manager had "just left for the day") said there was nothing they could do about it.
